Certificate Verification
Smart Certificates makes it easy to verify the authenticity of each issued certificate using a verification link or a QR code.
How to Verify a Certificate
Recipients or third parties can:
- Click the verification link displayed on the certificate
- Scan the QR code included in the certificate design
How It Works in the Add-on
When configuring placeholders in the Placeholder Mapper, you can use the system-generated field: Verification Link
You can use two options based on merge type:
-
Text Merge:
Displays the full clickable URL (e.g.,
/smart-certificates/verify/)โ Best for digital PDFs or when links need to be copied or clicked.
-
QR Code Merge:
Renders a scannable QR code on the certificate.
โ Best for printed or visual certificates.
